Rick was born and raised in Chalfont, PA in Bucks County. He was a member of the last graduating class of Central Bucks High School, a fact that, according to his cons, makes him really, really old.
After graduating from Penn State and spending a year in Colorado skiing, Rick came back to Philadelphia area and entered the real estate business where he was instrumental in changing the handling of listings by the Bucks County Multiple Listing Service.
In 1975, he started with the Connecticut General and its successor CIGNA. During his career he held positions in sales and management, finishing his career as Executive Vice President of the Corporate Financial Services Operation in Philadelphia. There he was responsible for Marketing CIGNA's financial services to Fortune 1000 companies as a perk for their senior executives. Under Rick's tenure, CIGNA had client relationships with 9 of the 12 largest companies in Philadelphia. After leaving CIGNA, he started PeterAlexander in 1991 and continues today as its President.
Rick lives in Philadelphia with his lovely wife, Lisa, and Bentley, their Shiloh Shepherd. He is also the very proud father of two wonderful young men, Peter and Alex.
After his family, Rick's number one love is baseball. For years he was active as a coach and board member of the Devon-Stafford Little League and continued his playing career with the Radnor Raiders of the Delaware Valley Men's Senior Baseball League until 2006.
Rick is active in St. Luke United Methodist Church in Bryn Mawr, where he serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He has also been on the boards of the local non-profit and industry organization.
In 2010, Rick ran for Congress in the 2 nd District of PA and has stayed active in rebuilding the Republican Party in Philadelphia.
